I believe, unashamedly, in Jesus Christ. I believe He was born of a virgin, the only begotten son of God, He lived the perfect life I should be living, and died the sacrificial death
I deserve to die for the forgiveness of my sins. I operate in the hope that something you read on this site will draw you closer to Him. I’m messed up, broken, and no good and He showed me that He could save me, He’ll do the same for you.
No disrespect to your wife but I have the best wife in the universe. She puts up with me, cooks and bakes like nobody’s business, challenges me ton be a better man every day, and her faithfulness to God blows me away everyday.
I can’t remember what it was like not to be “Daddy”. My sweet son has taught me things about prayer, patience, leadership, faithfulness, forgiveness, accountability, joy, and exhaustion I could have merit learned on my own. I’m probably the worst kind of helicopter parent, and people probably get tired of seeing pictures and videos of him, but seriously you’ve got to see how cute he is. No, really you do. He’s the cutest thing ever!
My first day as a high school freshman I stood in a JROTC class I had signed up for without knowing what it would be. That day transformed my life. As a meek, timid, young man Col. Bernard M. Booth (US Army Ret.) stood before us and told the class that he and our other instructor would be using principles they had learned over many years in the military to make us real leaders. Since that day not one day has gone by that the subject of leadership has not been at the forefront of my thoughts and actions. It’s been over 20 years since that day and there is still so much I don’t know, but I’ll share what I do know with you, and if you’ll do me the same courtesy we’ll all step out into the unknown together and create value along the way.
“And I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year:”Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.”
And he replied:
“Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the Hand of God. That shall be to you better that light and safer than a known way. “”
